Story
17 years ago, little Amanda Clarke unwittingly witnessed a plot between her father's lover Victoria and her husband, hedge-fund CEO Conrad Grayson, to frame her unsuspecting father David, his subordinate manager, for their fraud, and was later sent to jail herself. David's former business protégé and sole remaining confident Nolan Ross, now Wall Street's golden wonder boy, insists to help after recognizing her, despite her new persona as socialite Emily Thorne, a newcomer in the Hamptons summer party circuit, over which his wife Victoria 'reigns'. Conrad Grayson has an induced pseudo-cardiac crisis at the right time to expose his affair with Victoria's best friend Lydia Davis, who is quickly but discretely expelled.
