Story
Hilary Booth (Melinda Mullins) and Jeff Singer (Hugh O'Gorman) have deleloped an amazing mentalist act for their new show, "Magic Time." A blindfolded Hilary seems to be able to see objects in Jeff's hand and identify them, before "reputable witnesses" such as the Archbishop of Pittsburgh and the mayor-elect. An astounded Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) asks the couple how they do their act and Jeff explains the system of verbal cues they worked out. The other witness, Kurt Holstrom (David Leary), sponsor of the "Amazon Andy" program, goes to Scott Sherwood's (Kevin O'Rourke) office to chat with Betty and Scott. Holstrom compliments Betty on her handling of the Captain Amazon character, revealing isolationist sentiments, and Betty mentions a problem with the Amazon Andy decoder badge, which has been responsible for two gibberish messages.
