Story
Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) has become suspicious of WENN's tribute to wedded bliss: "Bridal Bouquet," in which marriages are celebrated on the air. She has discovered that Scott Sherwood (Kevin O'Rourke) has instructed the staff to remove the words "by proxy" from Betty's scripts, which would lead listeners to believe that live weddings are being performed with real couples, instead of being re-enacted by the radio cast. Betty is determined to get to the bottom of the situation and immediately suspects Sherwood, though he has not attempted any type of scam for some weeks. Reluctantly, he reveals that he has been taking the money and free railroad tickets from the sponsors and using the proceeds to build a memorial to Victor Comstock. Unfortunately, the sponsor, Penelope Cominger (Julie Hagerty) has decided to pay a visit to the station, with the aim of having a talk with Mackie Bloom (Christopher Murney) who left her at the altar 20 years ago.
