Story
In October of 1940, former WENN Manager Victor Comstock (John Bedford Lloyd) calls from London to offer Jeff Singer (Hugh O'Gorman) a job broadcasting reports on the Blitz back to the US. Meanwhile, the cast is preparing a special show to commemorate the closing of the NY World's Fair, which is to be simulcast on a New York station. The sponsor of the special, 'Bob' Devere (Steve Routman) objects that the special Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) proposes sounds a lot like "The Wizard of Oz," but eventually agrees to her idea. Jeff bids farewell to Hilary Booth (Melinda Mullins), and it is revealed that they are secretly divorced. The remaining cast gets caught up in the chance to use the broadcast to audition for the big time in NY, and the program starts to fall apart, until Scott Sherwood (Kevin O'Rourke) switches the WENN broadcast with Jeff's poignant account of the bombing in London on another station.
