Story
WENN Manager Scott Sherwood (Kevin O'Rouke) proposes a new scam to get the station into the black: a rigged quiz show, in which the sponsor's son, Randall Parson Jr. (Thomas Mizer), is to win the $6400 prize. Writer Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) objects to the scheme, but is swept up in Sherwood's enthusiasm, and totally forgets her date, Doug Thompson (Matthew Bennett). Meanwhile, High School Principal Mr. Winthrop (Julian Holloway) has returned to ask Hilary Booth (Melinda Mullins) to speak at his school. She assumes he is Parson, the pet store sponsor, and insults him by seeming to refer to his students as animals. Betty discovers Doug sleeping in the writer's room and he inspires her to do the right thing, so she joins judges Hilary Booth and Jeff Singer (Hugh O'Gorman) to try and sabotage the show. In the end, no money is awarded, because Betty mistakenly fed the wrong answer to Parson Jr.
