Story
Abandoned by his mother and under threat from Laser Byrne, Davey Webb seeks protection at McKay's apartment. A guilt ridden McKay can't refuse, he's all Davey has left and feels completely responsible for his safety. Claire insists McKay shows Davey the door, they are risking both their careers - she's his advising solicitor and he's a superintendent acting without authorisation. Davey is furious when McKay suggests he go back to Galway until everything dies down. He wouldn't be in this mess if McKay hadn't convinced him to be his informant. Laser's thugs have killed his dog, his sister's in hospital, his mother thinks he's a rat and his house has been burnt down - Laser clearly won't stop until he has Davey.
