Story
Ann's parents receive a visit from an out of town guest, Ann's judgmental Aunt Harriette, who has always boasted about how great her daughter Arlene's life is and has been compared to Ann's. So Ann sees her father's suggestion that she host a dinner party for her Aunt Harriette as validation that her father believes in her. Ann wants the dinner party to go perfectly to show Aunt Harriette and in turn prove to herself that her life is every bit as good as Cousin Arlene's. The dinner is going well enough until Lew and Ann find a stranger standing on the ledge outside of her kitchen window. He vows to jump. The collective of Ann, Lew and Donald try to convince him to come in and not to jump, all the while trying to hide the fact from Aunt Harriette that a strange man who vows to kill himself is outside her kitchen window. But when Aunt Harriette finds out what's going on, the issue of the man jumping shares center stage with whether Ann's life in the city is a wise decision, especially ...
