Story
Marker is hired by solicitors acting for Ruth Bailey to track down her missing son, who is being kept from her by her vengeful estranged husband, assisted by his girlfriend Ann. The boy is to be made a ward of court at an upcoming hearing but Mr Bailey has spirited the boy away and is refusing to say where he is, even under the threat of imprisonment for perjury. Marker works with local CID officer DI Firbank in order to track down the missing boy.
