Story
Shade keeps putting off studying for his official P.I. exam and dumps a boring adultery case for what sounds exciting: finding Diamond Heist. He and Angie have mixed feelings to learn it's a champion race horse, owned by mega-rich Jim and Bridget Cutler, who offer a fortune to find him before the impending great race. Shade is startled to learn that the first reliable expert he seems to meet is a schemer, and Angie's despised ever-absent mother Nora. They spot irregularities, check out the stable team including the vet and the owners as well as tycoon rival Ivan Zickel, working on various motive theories.
