Story
Hazen return to the Sahara, the largest dry desert, to use the skill he learned from a Berber tribe a a five day journey across the endless dunes. Traditional robes and veiled turban shade him against the sun, bu it's difficult to control the perfectly adapted but stubborn camel, which at one time escapes seeking his own shade. Hazen finds it hard to walk in the sand, yet must climb dunes or rocks to orientate or chase lizards -using a poking stick and self-made sling trap- and digs up juicy tuber under dry leaves. Despite mending his leaky goat skin water bag and given his sun-spoiled water supply, he must dig deep under scarce vegetation to find more after the known well was covered by sand, probably in a storm like the one he can barely brave rolled up, unlike the camel. Food is so rare he even regales on beetles which must be boiled like stale water, so he must make fire, but he gets there.
