Story
The unit returns to England with the wounded James and Smurf transferred to hospital. Smurf recovers quickly but accepts that Molly loves James, who wakes from his operation to find her by his bedside. She is however perturbed when James' ex-wife Rebecca arrives with their son and, feeling out of place at home, rings Qaseem for news of Bashira. James convinces her that he and Rebecca are no longer together and he and Molly celebrate with a meal before having sex. Soon afterwards Molly receives a medal for bravery but Smurf suffers a delayed reaction to his wound and dies of a haemorrhage. Molly returns to Afghanistan to train local medics and gets to see Bashira but returns to James after three months.
