Story
Christmas is coming and Victor has accidentally ordered 263 garden gnomes because he confused the order number with the quantity required. The Meldrews receive a bottle of wine which they drink and later discover that it is a rare vintage costing £850 and intended as a present for Tom, Pippa's father, so Margaret re-fills and re-corks the bottle. Tom and Victor help out at a Christmas dinner for the homeless - one of whom points a gun at them and is disarmed by Pippa. The next day, Patrick, who has told Victor that Tom got the cork from the bottle stuck up his nose, shoots the garden gnomes with the gun Pippa took from the religious nut.
