Story
Popeye is a banjo-playing sailor on a riverboat going down the Mississippi; Olive Oyl is a mysterious stranger in a red riding hood; Wimpy the Indian Scout is her father; and Brutus is the villainous, eye-patch-wearing Jean Baptiste le Brute in this story of intrigue. Brutus is chasing Olive around the riverboat, demanding that he give her a letter. Olive begs Popeye to keep the mysterious letter with him so that Brutus won't be able to get it. Popeye notices that the letter has no stamp, but that will prove to be the least of his worries.
