Story
Popeye the lifeguard is getting too much attention from the beauties on the beach, and he is giving too much in return. Olive Oyl fights back by pretending to drown and getting Popeye to save her. She plays the game too well when she gets trapped under the ocean in a hollow log. After Popeye rescues her, he is all too immune to her flattering declarations of his bravery and zips right back to the fawning females. Olive has an unplanned disaster when her inflatable toy horse suddenly deflates and sends her sailing out of control across the ocean. Popeye's rescue attempt winds up with her crashing bodily into an old barge and becoming its unwilling figurehead. She's still no closer to winning back Popeye, and so she agrees to become Brutus's beach buddy in an attempt to make Popeye jealous.
