Story
Claire Bingham, a nurse, arrives in Medicine Bow looking for a brother she was separated from when both were very young. She believes Chuck Larson who is in jail for a stagecoach holdup and murder may be her brother. When she asks Larson about his history he initially denies he could be her brother. Sheriff Emmett Ryker takes a strong interest in Claire but does not believe Larson can be her brother. Larson's partners break him out of jail but he is shot during the escape from jail. Needing a doctor, Larson decides to use Claire's feelings to persuade her to help him by telling her he is her brother. One of his partner's brings her to him after they steal supplies from Dr. Spaulding's office. After she removes the bullet so Larson can recover, she tells him that their uncle died leaving each of them $5000. Upon hearing the news Larson tells her how to get the money to him.
