Story
Having won Cassie Blake's confidence, Jake learns of her lineage to the powerful black magic Balcoin family. He quickly runs to Isaac, where he (1) informs the witch hunter leader of the Blake/Blackwell connection, (2) warns that it makes Cassie too dangerous an adversary, and (3) assures the chief that he himself has remained clear against any romantic infatuations. Under instructions from hunter elders, Isaac's team abducts Cassie, knocking out Jake as a precaution as they flee with her aboard their yacht. As the Circle picks up a dubious ally in mounting a rescue, Charles resists Dawn's claim of dominance and retains the crystal, which has obviously affected Jane's memory.
