Story
An aging opera diva stiffs the Sniffer when she doesn't like his results in identifying a thief. She changes her mind and happily agrees to pay him but winds up dead in her bathtub beforehand. The subsequent investigation brings to light an old but neat con job over rare gold coins. Four people are suspect, and it's up to Viktor and the Sniffer to determine who are the guilty among them and of what. Meanwhile, Viktor's side-investigation into the Sniffer's dead father turns up a name.
