Story
On this episode of My Naked Secret we meet 26 year old, Mariam, who has severe excess facial and body hair. After years of trying to keep her condition secret, Mariam has developed an exhausting routine to prevent anyone around her discovering what she is hiding, including her fiancé Lucy and best friend, Vivienne. Having never discovered if there could be an underlying reason for her excess hair, Mariam has just retreated away from those she loves. Desperate to move forward with her life she searches to find a diagnosis that may explain her excessive hair growth. With the help of psychotherapist, Dr Linda Papadopoulos, Mariam attempts to re-build her shattered self-confidence, and learns how to get her life back on track. But will she discover more than she bargained for and how will she deal with the answers she finds?
