Story
Over breakfast, Vern () and Margie () discuss their activities of the previous evening, during which Vern went out with Honeywell () because Roberta () was working a charity kissing booth at a local fair. Margie comments that Vern must be "understanding" to be unconcerned by Roberta "necking" with a number of strangers, but he protests that it is for a good cause. She attempts to avoid the subject when he asks with whom she spent her night, but finally confesses it was Freddie (), and Vern is annoyed that she is still spending time with an unemployed "knucklehead." He points out that she too is becoming irresponsible, having forgotten to pick up his lighter from the repair shop for several weeks. When she goes to give him the claim slip, she finds that she has mislaid her purse, further proving his point. Later, however, Roberta chooses to trust Margie and asks her to take the money made at the carnival to the bank and exchange it for smaller bills, which she does, misplacing it only ...
