Story
Margie () receives a telegram from Ralph Brooks, a handsome Marine, inviting her to a cotillion. Excited, she asks Vern () if she can buy a new dress, but he refuses. In the hallway, they run into Mrs. Odetts' sister Mag (), who seems more levelheaded than her sibling, and Vern hopes she will provide "sensible guidance" for Margie. However, she soon displays an odd fondness for taxidermy and "crazy capers," hoping to get into some mischief with Margie. Later, Vern, needing Margie to date the son of an important client, schemes with Charlie () to trick her into breaking the date with Ralph, presenting her with two new dresses. She is immediately suspicious, however, and he explains that he needs her to entertain Bill Collin while he is in town, but Margie, knowing that Bill's father is rather homely, is uninterested. However, she realizes that if Bill dislikes her, she can go out with Ralph after all, so she recruits Mag and they decide to make her "unappealing" with a blow-up suit and...
