Story
Jessica visits star gossip magazine editor, Frances Hunt, to attend a Hollywood dinner party. Socialite florist Billy Kyle delivers there, then is killed in his Beverly Hills shop, but not as a result of a robbery. Lieutenant Gabriel Caceras already worked with Jessica, so he lets her snoop with him. She realizes Billy met everyone and learned dangerous truths. There is gossip concerning a bribery racket. Jessica follows various avenues but in the end nothing is what it seemed.
