Story
Yet another domestic has walked out on cantankerous and imperious old Miss Farnaby due to her demanding,cold nature but before cook Alice and gardener Bert can advertise for a replacement,Mulberry,a jaunty young man, appears out of nowhere. He has no qualifications but,due to a mutual interest in 'Spot the Ball' competitions and the absence of any other candidate,he gets the job. He even softens Miss Farnaby up,getting her to confess to her jealousy of her sisters and persuading her to give her nephew a rocking-horse that is a family heirloom. Afterwards he meets a mysterious saturnine man in the garden.
