Story
The Duke finds his snob superior, superintendent Stirling, is sitting on his due promotion, unless he can cater a good image in the internal police magazine by treating the reporter to the 'juicy' cases he seeks. As current serious crimes don't appeal, he's forced to turn to the odd case he previously declined helping Scarlett with, but assigned his deputy to help document. It involves an alleged clairvoyant's claims supported by seemingly impossible, even posthumous photographs, even involving her own father, whose detective secrets she still ignores. As suspected, the key is in undertaker bribing for private info, even from her German acquaintance Herr Hildegard .
