Story
An Australian private detective, Harry, and who knows every Australian cliché ever written, approaches Hammer to find a missing author. The only clue she has is a picture of a contact, who turns out to be is 'The Face'. Hammer finally catches up with The Face and finds out that her name is Laura. It turns out that Hammer has been fictionalised in a series of books and Laura has been observing him as part of research for the books. However, people are trying to kill her. Hammer is captured and tortured so he will tell them where Laura is hiding. Their final goal is to find and kill the witness to a murder that is the subject of the next book. Laura, Harry and Pat work together to rescue Hammer.
