Story
All contestants aside from Callum competed in a two-round elimination challenge themed around iconic Australian dishes. For the first round, the contestants were given 90 minutes to produce their rendition of a meat pie with a sauce. Poh, Brendan and Emelia produced the strongest dishes, with Laura, Reece and Khanh also being declared safe. On the other hand, Reynold, Tessa, Sarah T. and Simon all misfired and landed in the second round. They were then given 1 hour to cook any dish that represented Australia for them. Reynold's chocolate and coconut dessert received rave reviews, with Tessa and Sarah T. also receiving overall praise. On the other hand, Simon's broccoli was criticised for being overcooked and soggy. He was then eliminated, finalizing the Top 10.
