Story
The Grey Team were given three hours to cook Darren Purchese's intricate passionfruit pavlova, designed to look like a simple pavlova on the outside but in reality composed of several complex interior elements. Many of the contestants struggled with the challenge, but two hours into the cook, the judges introduced a twist by taking away the contestants' recipes and forcing them to cook with their instincts. Despite the difficult twist, Jess produced a near-perfect dish, and Reynold, Laura, and Tracy also received praise. On the other hand, Poh, Amina and Hayden misfired and landed in the Bottom 3. Amina, who had fallen behind throughout the cook, had flaws in all of her elements, and was sent home in a teary farewell.
