Story
Chaotic birdbrain Lloyd Gibbs, the protected witness in a murder among robbers case, in lodged by Provenza and Flynn in a tacky motel until his trial, but when they come pick him up, it's under LAPD siege as he's the prime suspect in the robbery-murder on the nearest convenience store. Drunk Lloyd Gibbs's alibi -apart for the beer he stole by not paying- is the phone slut Shampagne, a youth acquaintance which he believes responsive to his romantic interest, but who turns out involved deeper with a third fiend.
