Story
Troop is in Saratoga to pick up Will Evans and Alexander Burrell, a drunk, to testify in Laramie. The local law helps capture Evans at the hotel 15 minutes before the stage leaves. Troop takes Evans and Burrell on the stage plus Evan's lawyer and Cissy Lawson is a fifth passenger. The stage driver becomes seriously ill as they arrive at a depot to change horses. When he collapses, Troop assumes heat is the problem. Burrell surprises everyone with an offer to examine the driver since he is a doctor. After the examination he informs Troop they need to stay there for a minimum of four days as he thinks the driver has plague. Cissy meeting a future husband at Laramie and the lawyer don't want to wait. Evans wants to escape. The hallucinating driver runs off forcing Troop to go after him leaving Burrell with a gun to hold the group. After Troop leaves, Evans knocks the gun loose and Cissy uses it to break his handcuffs. Troop returns to report the driver dead and is able to distract Evans ...
