Story
Dexter Weston arrives at his uncle and aunt's home with four men. Judge Leonard Whitehall is bringing Dexter's sister Tendis from Kansas to visit. The stagecoach driver reports being followed and the Judge finds a noose in his room. He informs Troop that it was he who sentenced Dexter and Tendis's father to hang. Troop decides to accompany them to her relatives. Upon arrival they find themselves captives of the men who plan a trial for the Judge for his treatment of them. During "The Trial" the Judge admits to taking the actions they accuse him of but argues it was his job with support from Troop and Tendis. The Judge states he came on the trip explicitly to see Dexter and explain to him what happened. Dexter decides to have a change of heart giving Troop an opening.
