Story
A wagon rolls into Laramie with a man shot in the leg passed out in the back. A little later a sheriff and deputy from a neighboring community ride in looking for the man, Ben Greene, stating he is wanted for cattle rustling. When he attempts to chain and retrieve the man at the doctor's office, Troop tells him the man is in his custody until able to travel. The wounded man tells Troop the cattle in question were bought by him legitimately from Gabe Dallas's foreman and he has brand release indicating it. Troop sends Johnny to look for the document but he is turned back by Dallas's men. Troop decides to take Greene back himself. At Greene's cabin they find the document but Dallas and his men have them trapped there. Dallas confronts the Sheriff who decides he has had enough of the crooked Dallas and decides to side with Troop.
