Story
Making Pine Lake into a recreation area will help a town, but the plans depend on buying land from two independent young men who inherited the land from their father and whom the townspeople view as "kooks." But Lassie befriends their mutt "Big Dog" and gets help from them when she falls into an old mine shaft.
