Story
Out one evening, Jack, Will and Holly stumble across an old wooden carving of a Sleestak with some detailed symbols on its chest. They decide to take it home with them to examine it further. They learn from Enik that the Sleestak believe the statue, which was carved and placed there by their long deceased ancestors, is an ancient guardian, protecting them from the "hairy monster", who they call the kona and which is akin to a yeti, from coming through the mountain pass from the high country into the low land where they live. Historically, the kona has pillaged the Sleestak of their eggs, threatening their species. Enik and the Sleestak do not know why the the statue has its effect on the kona. Regardless, the statue is placed back to its original location. However, the statue back in its place now does not stop the kona from descending from the high country.
