Story
Trying to learn the location of a rumored stash of gold, the three Meek brothers beat a Lancer employee, Lem Cable, to death. While Johnny is tracking the attackers, Slate Meek shoots and blinds him. Cable's niece, a mute young woman named Mattie, has also followed the outlaws' trail and manages to hide Johnny before he can come to further harm. Romance develops as Mattie and Johnny try to form a plan to survive the impending showdown with the murderous brothers.
