Story
Corvo and the complete board of directors of his company are arrested, because Silvia Conti has evidence of corruption and embezzlement of public financial means just shortly before his son is going to marry the daughter of an old friend: Ricardo Respighi. Respighi was engaged in politics and had and still has contact to the Mafia. He and Espinosa suspect that Tano Cariddi has behind the scene managed the arrest. Espinosa arranges a meeting with Tano. They agree to pursue the business without Corvo and Linori. Even the remaining members of the supreme counsel agree. The principal witness to bring Corvo forever behind bars is killed. Corvo is set free and looks forward to get control over the Linori empire. He orders the kidnapping of Andrea Linori's son, which fails and ends with the killing of his son. Tano and Giuseppe Casta a close friend to the Linori family and loyal servant suspect that Licata is not what he pretends to be.
