Story
The April 28, 1999 shooting incident at W. R. Myers High School in Canada is discussed. A former student, 14-year-old Todd Cameron Smith, fatally shot 17-year-old student Jason Lang at point-blank range. He also shot Shane Christmas and just missed another student. This all happened just eight days after the Columbine massacre, which Smith was obsessed with watching on the news. Next, the case of 14-year-old "Leïla Zafer" who, on March 6, 1995 in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, France, strangled her 13-year-old friend Sabrina Dubois (Sabrina Vallée) to death in the school bathroom after a quarrel. "Zafer" had a history of bad behavior and committing crimes such as shoplifting, larceny, and vandalism. The mother of Sabrina even previously asked the school that her daughter be transferred to another class. The principal denied the request.
