Story
During a period of rest, and just after three elementary school science fair prize winners leave with Capt. Picard for a tour of the ship, the Enterprise hits a quantum filament, trapping its people in different compartments under varying emergencies. Geordi and Dr. Crusher face a plasma fire that begins to destabilize stored supplies into high-yield explosives; Data and Riker face a lethal electrical arc on their only available route to engineering; Worf presides over Keiko O'Brien going into labor; the wounded captain and the school children rally to escape a damaged and dangling turbolift; Troi, as highest in rank on the bridge, faces a crucial decision as the warp core heads toward collapse and ship-wide destruction.
