Story
A murder takes place in Key West, Florida; the local authorities refer the matter to the Navy because the prime suspect is a petty officer assigned to the Naval Air Station. Mac prosecutes, Harm defends, and PO Coates helps Mac. However, because of the small size of the NAS, after a number of challenges during the examination voir dire, the court empanels five members of the jury, but it runs out of potential jurors for the sixth person. The judge proposes to use PO Coates, the counsel accept her, and the court empanels her too; the trial proceeds. Meanwhile the general hands Bud a stack of case files for review for appeal, and Harm seeks and gets help from Bud with a code used in a piece of documentary evidence. Harm then figures out who committed the murder, and why he did so. The trial ends in an unorthodox and atypical way.
