Story
Duncan's Immortal friend Jim Coltec, a Native American medicine man who has the ability to absorb other people's evil and pain into his own body, is taking a trip to visit Duncan. On the way he is forced to behead an evil Immortal, taking in all his evil in the process. Afterward Coltec appears to become evil himself, and Duncan believes that he is the victim of a dark quickening and that all of the evil he has absorbed over the years has finally taken over. In flashback, Coltec helps Duncan overcome his rage after the Sioux tribe he was living with is slaughtered.
