Story
When Brock Madden, miscreant grown son of wealthy Henry T. Madden, skips town after forging a $4000 check and beating a prostitute (without paying her), Hec pursues him to New Mexico, where he meets Miss Savannah, formerly Rose Ryan, whom he loved and left years ago, and Henry T. Madden, an aging arthritic man who controls the town. Left without options, Hec becomes Savannah's defense attorney after her arrest for Brock's murder, but in a town owned by the victim's father, justice seems impossible, forcing the lawman to engineer a jailbreak to save an innocent life.
