Story
Alex learns that a woman whom she performed a heart transplant on 10 years ago was in an accident. She is brought to the hospital and Jesse and Millicent who also were part of the original transplant try to help Alex. When someone from Alex's son's school calls and she not available, so Pierce goes out to deal with it. And when he takes her son with him and Pierce tries to bond with him but the boy is unwilling. When Alex's patient dies she decides to find someone whom they can transplant the heart to. And they find one, so Millicent goes there to see if the patient meets the criteria problem is, he can't be moved so Alex decides to bring the heart there. But when she arrives, she learns they don't have the equipment needed to perform the transplant. And we also see what Alex had to do to get the heart 10 years ago and how her relationship with Jesse ended.
