Story
The Chief appears before the Authoritarians to report on his progress, or lack thereof, in his search for the family. Hecla departs the Halfway station for Earth. X isn't happy to learn Father has started gambling. X contacts Lox back on Zyrgon to ask if the government has fallen. At school, Dovis' poem doesn't go over well in geography class. Charlotte schoolwork takes a turn towards the perfectly ordinary while Qwrk's advanced work stands out - despite X's insistence he is of average intelligence. The family concoct an elaborate back story when Mother and Father are called to the school to discuss George's scholastic future with Miss Brewster. X's insistence that her family is perfectly normal results in Michelle taking her up on a challenge to come over and see for herself.
