Story
The three young royals confront their powerlessness in selecting marriage partners. As Prince Yang Myeong Gun feels cheated of a promise the King never made, and as bawling Princess Min Hwa enters a hunger strike over being forbidden to marry Teacher Heo Yeom, Crown Prince Hwon takes political steps to alter his plight by removing Dowager Queen June Hui from decisive power. June Hui, in trying to hang onto her traditional position and name blood relative Yun Bo Gyeong queen, learns of King Swon Jo's awareness of her hand in his brother's assassination. Submitting to the will of the people, the King appoints himself the decision maker and, following the selection process, names Heo Yeon Woo. June Hui, as a last resort to see Yun Bo Gyeong named queen, blackmails Shaman Jang Nok Yeong into using the black arts to permanently take out Heo Yeon Woo, putting Nok Yeong in a bind.
