Story
It's 1952 and Algie is visiting his aunt and uncle in Kent during the summer holidays with his best friend Col, and his pet dog Stinker. They had befriended three of the neighbourhood kids and formed a gang they called "The Chipper Chums" who loved drinking ginger beer. One day, the group go on a picnic in the meadows to find yet another adventure but troubles begin when their youngest member, Alice, wants an apple from an orchard owned by a cider-maker.
