Story
Baz avoids meeting his father on the way out of the house, by jumping out of the upstairs window, while sister Annie is bodily pushed out the front door. Feeling he's getting nowhere with Anika, Josh fails to persuade Kathy to help, so the next step is for Martin to make a move on Anilka's friend, Amy. Tanya's latest thing to try to get past eagle-eyed Miss Dyson is bold eye makeup, but she has no hope. At registration, the names are called, but Baz and Annie are missing - held up as Baz limps along, his leg damaged by the drop from the window. Baz decides to go to the health centre and make up a story about a football injury. Josh tries to get Maddie interested in Josh's plight, and Kathy helps, but from her remarks to Maddie it seems Kathy herself is interested in Josh. When Miss Dyson asks her class to choose partners for an art trip, Emma is disappointed that Tanya immediately chooses Annie, rather than herself.
