Story
The Ancients, in the form of John's father Jack, come to Talyn, informing John that the wormhole data he collected previously is now in the wrong hands. That's courtesy of grubby entrepreneur mechanic Furlow who's built her own module and stabilizer and has hired bad people Charrids, an old enemy of the Hynerians, to pilot. But they've double-crossed her and are now attacking her compound. But the Scarrans are also on their way on a dreadnought - and they've also managed to download enough wormhole data from Furlow's computer. This forces the good guys to convert the stabilizer into a powerful weapon meant to destroy the Scarrans. But that means extracting the secret wormhole technology implanted by the Ancients. Except, of course, Scorpius got there first a long time ago, and his not-so-dormant neural clone "Harvey" is not going to go quietly.
