Story

Steve joins a team of expert divers in Yucatan (Mexico) who are still exploring most of the vastly extended system of 'cenotes', generally water-flooded natural underground cases, under the Maya jungle, which largely enabled that Precolumbian culture's rich growth. The Mayas knew about it and had religious practices concerning this 'divine portal', leaving a cultic legacy. It's dangerous work, especially as one can't just dive up, ever problem must be dealt with on the spot, under water and without maps.
