Story
Emil is starting school and, surprisingly, he loves it and starts doing so well that he is soon head of his class. When he starts visiting the old people in the poorhouse to read to them out of the newspaper, his teacher knows that he will go on to do great things. And then there is the day when he kisses her 'out of the goodness of his heart'... But school leaves still enough free time for Emil to get up to mischief, like the day he inadvertently locked his father into the outhouse.
