Story
The Stranger
Police informant Gianni Matteucci relocates to the Umbrian town of Gubbio under the Witness Protection Scheme. He is to give evidence in a major Mafia trial that is set to take place in nearby Perugia. A few days before Matteucci's deposition, a crime syndicate tries to silence the witness by kidnapping his daughter Lucia, together with Assuntina, Sergeant Cecchini's daughter. The girls disappear from the school yard. The kidnapping couldn't have succeeded without the complicity of an insider. But who?
