Story
Everyone is back home for the annual dance, with 1920s theme. Even Tyler risks rejoining lover Caroline, hoping he can persuade Klaus still to be under his vampire sire's spell. Esther, still in Rebekah's guise, receives the hidden ultimate stake from Alaric, who agreed to sacrifice his life to eliminate the originals and hence vampires, while keeping all vampires bound by a salt spell, which reluctant Bonnie finds hard to break, so Jeremy decides not to wait. Stefano assures Damon and Elena to hold no grudge. Esther forces Elena to supply blood to transform Alaric into the ultimate vampire killer, but then the binding spell is broken.
