Story
Tom is being hit on multiple sides, with Lyor, Emily, Seth and Aaron trying to mitigate the problem by trying to push whichever they deem the least harmful item to Tom and the administration to the top of the news cycle. Leading into a NATO summit in DC, they learn that Turkish president Fatih Turan, who Tom does not much like, wants to raise significantly the leases on strategic air fields in Turkey, they believing to build up a war chest for an upcoming election. If Tom doesn't agree, Turan may hand the leases over to the Russians which would give them the upper hand in the Middle East. At a joint press conference with Tom and Turan where the prepared scripts are exchanges of diplomatic niceties regarding the items to be discussed at the summit, Turan blindsides Tom by going off script, accusing Tom of harboring who Turan sees as his primary political opponent, Nuresh Sahin, who he wants extradited back to Turkey to face charges of treason for an unsuccessful coup.
